SiteXpress Roll out on February 26th 2004

Prospects can build and save a website on a trial basis. To publish their site, they purchase hosting from you.

DomainMasters.NET is pleased to announce the release of SiteXpress, a web site creation software program which will allow your customers and prospects to create professional websites quickly. This product has been designed to help your business gain more hosting customers. To help accomplish this, SiteXpress has an easy to use interface which will allow even the simplest of users to create and publish a website. SiteXpress will be rolled out to your system on Thursday, February 26th.

There is no cost to you for SiteXpress. You may charge for SiteXpress if you wish. We suggest a retail price of $49.95. The SiteXpress product touches many parts of your system, so please read the following instructions, user guides, and collateral materials carefully.

Trial Users

SITEXPRESS CONFIGURATION - Prospective new clients can get a trial SiteXpress account at your own co-branded SiteXpress website. You determine how many days the trial period will be. The URL for your co-branded SiteXpress page will be:

http://host.sitexpress.biz/sitebuilder/login.jsp?dsm=admin.capital-computers.com

Before offering SiteXpress trial accounts, you will need to make your custom configurations via the SiteXpress Management Site. Using the login information found in your DSM at DSM Administration => SiteXpress Configuration, you can access the management site and begin configuring the system. You will be able to enter custom emails for Trial and Paid users, enter your desired trial interval, and co-brand SiteXpress with your colors and logo. You will also be able to view Trial Users who are actively using the system.

HOSTING ORDER INTEGRATION - In order to enable the automatic SiteXpress and hosting order form integration, you will need to enable your order form for SiteXpress, and then enter the URL for the order form in your DSM under DSM Administration => SiteXpress Configuration.

For those maintaining their own custom order form web pages, it is very important that you pass the sitebuilderid FORM variable on to Alabanza’s order processing pages so that tracking of the trial user can be maintained. To do this, locate the HTML <FORM>…</FORM> code on your order form pages and insert this PHP/HTML code in between those two tags:

After the user signs up for a trial account with SiteXpress via your co-branded web page, they will be provided with access to a test account to use the SiteXpress software. If they desire to publish any web page content to a web site, they will first need to sign up for a hosting account using the link provided them in the trial account welcome email. It is very important that trial users sign up for web hosting account with the link received in the email from SiteXpress. Without this, they will not be able to access their trial SiteXpress account and activate it once they have a functioning domain hosting account with you. Of course, it is also important that the hosting package they sign up with contain the new SiteXpress tool.

After ordering a hosting account, your new customer will need to click on the SiteXpress icon and log into SiteXpress. Once they have logged in, they can automatically upload their site by clicking on "Publish Site" from the SiteXpress navigation bar.

Current Hosting Customers

Existing hosting customers can also use SiteXpress, but they cannot get a trial account. Once a user is signed up for a hosting account with you and their package contains the SiteXpress Control Panel icon, they can activate and use a fully operational SiteXpress account by clicking "activate." Upon activation, SiteXpress will automatically email a login and password to your customer at the email address on file for them in the DSM. After logging in and creating their website using the SiteXpress software, your customer can publish their site automatically to their existing hosting account without having to use an FTP software.

The automatic publishing utility of SiteXpress will also work for website edits. Anytime your customer would like to edit their site, they can log into SiteXpress, make the appropriate changes, and click publish. SiteXpress will automatically upload the changes!

Billing Update Icon

Also with this rollout, the edit billing information functionality will no longer be in the 'Account Management' icon. There is a new icon called "Billing Update," which can be enabled for your packages. This icon contains the same functionality as the page previously under Account Management.
